Calgary Beauty
Ah beautiful Calgary... home of the uh, hmm... you know what, I just realized I don't know that much about that gorgeous northern metropolis .
Aside of course from it being a great winter destination and the NHL Calgary Flames hockey team playing there I'm pretty much clueless as to any interesting facts regarding one of the largest cities across the Canadian border... But I'd like to find out more ... Especially with regards to some of Calgary's 'hotter' residents...
First and foremost of course starting with this gorgeous gentleman you see here before you. He's not exactly a cowboy, but he sure plays a hell of a great one in front of the camera. Introducing 25 year-old Calgary native, model Jared W.
Jared is another model that also started doing photoshoots just a couple months ago... as such he's still building up his portfolio. But as you can tell from these amazing shots, he's apparently chosen a superb photographer to start out with. These shots were all taken by a young Calgary photographer named Phil.
Superb work all-around. And yes, thankfully nothing was dropped during the photoshoot ... (almost looks like they're both about to take off )...
But yeah, Jared is an absolutely amazing photography subject. It was tough choosing which shots of his to display seeing as they're all pretty much equally amazing... definitely look forward to seeing more from him hopefully in the future.

Calgary is home of the Calgary Stampede--a major tourist attraction.
It is only a 1 1/2 hour drive to the Rockies and Banff Alberta. Banff was the first National Park and is a year round resort nowadays.

Calgary also has the youngest population in all of Canada, where the avg. age is 32.
When I was there on a business trip, went to a place called Ranchman's. After the honky tonk set left, it became a living breathing Abercrombie ad. Boys and girls.
I stayed all night.

We live near Calgary, and can say he is definately representative of the talent pool, hehe.

Calgary Flames and the Calgary Stampede. It's pretty much what it's known for in Canada. It also has crazy whether. 23 degrees C one day and a blizzard the next.

Wow, a city with an average population of 32? Is this a college town by any chance :-)
Sounds like fun place to be though... The wild swinging weather temps is something I've gotten a little used to here in the northeast (we just went from 40something to 90 fahrenheit just over the last week)...
@ Kenneth, yes I know where you're coming from :-)... I never used to be a fan of guys with facial hair, but I think just blogging might be starting to skew my tastes towards a new direction ^_^

Guess what Eric.....the "CONTINENT" you live in is called NORTH AMERICA and I know its hard for you to understand this but you actually share it with two other nations.....one to the north of you called CANADA and one to the south of you called MEXICO.....did you know that Eric? Believe it or not Eric there are even more continents on this planet and dozens and dozens of other nations as well. Look beyond your own borders Eric there is a huge world out there you might find quite interesting and exciting.

While some Americans seem to think that nothing exists outside our borders, there are many of us who are very aware of the world out there! We don't always know a whole lot about some of the smaller cities of the world, but not all of us know a whole lot about some of the smaller cities within the US either.
I'm sure that most of us who read this blog are interested in learning more about the joys and pleasures found even in the least well-known places.
M that leads me to believe that there seems to be some serious flawa in your education system.....I'll say it again.....this continent we live in is NORTH AMERICA and it is made up of three very distinct nations.

I've had MANY discussions with my fellow Canadians about this very (non)"issue" who know nothing about their own country's geography.
So, let's just curb all this nanny-nanny-boo-boo stuff and agree that Canada is home to some seriously hot men.

I'm not 100% sure but I think anonymous from 2:00am took offense to my ignorance of a city on the north American continent :-S...
For the record there are in fact plenty of American cities that I know little to nothing about... (let alone Canadian 100s of miles away)... But I did learn a few facts about Calgary from this post, if it's of any solace. ^_^
