A work in progress

There's absolutely nothing that I love more than migrating 500gigs worth of movies, songs, games, random programs I can barely recall why on earth I downloaded... oh and a small collection of pics feeding a photographic obsession. Nothing at all. I can honestly barely contain the total adrenaline rush and excitement I get out of realizing 'I probably should've started backing up this laptop a month ago' smile... Clearly I'm a genius neutral...

But yeah... I'm currently in the process of getting ready for the big move to Windows 7 (hence my lack of posting recently). As for what it took these past two weeks to get Toshiba to get its act together and ship my free home version copy... I won't even bother getting into that nightmare (...suffice to say worst - customer service - ever neutral)....

I should be back to posting a couple favorite gorgeous (yet unfortunately overlooked) shots as soon as humanly possible though (Toshiba laptop permitting)... so bear with me. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth just yet cool... or at least if I did, then my aerial typing speed must be improving mrgreen...

Hey I can see you have some problem with Norton over there, why not try to install Microsoft Security Essentials?

It's much lighter software and free for genuine Windows users.

Well, for me Windows 7 didn't work. My Sony DVCam as well as my HP printer stopped working correctly (DVCam makes windows simply stop working when using with msn and others and the printer, no driver at all).

Good luck with your Windows 7 installation... you'll need luck..

A picture of Hoegaerden !!
Do you like the Belgian beers? Hoegaerden is not really the best in my opinion but it's a light beer and it's a cool glas.

Solve all your computer problems like I did. Get a MAC!
NO more hassles, no viruses, no stupid messages from Bill Gates saying I did something wrong, no help desk as none is needed. It is freedom at last!

I wouldn't exactly call it a problem... more like an inconvenience (especially for a procrastinator like yours truly :)

I've yet to read all those problems the anonymous guys above mentioned... but I seriously hope I'm not gonna running into any of those issues in once upgrade.

Honestly if I wind up with the same headache I had with Vista, I might just move over to a mac.

Windows gets worse over time. Like its previous versions. Bugs keep spawning out from nowhere. Sometimes the taskbar freezes for no reason when Explorer was working flawlessly. I had to log out and log in again, because ending the explorer.exe process using Task Manager just simply freezes the task manager itself. My god. Then, when I re-login-ed, the start up items just wouldn't ... start. The system tray was empty.

Bugs like these don't show up until a few weeks after installation (I've been using 7 since its RTM). It gets worse over time. Buggy is Windows' pet name, right xD? Man, until Windows is completely rewritten, this is going to be true to Windows 8 >"< ...
